CERTIFICATE IN TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES
Introduction
This Certificate in TESOL course has been specially designed for people with little or no previous teaching experience. Our Certificate in TESOL program is highly practical and comprehensive to provide candidates with the necessary level of competence or skill they need for to start their teaching careers overseas. Candidates are assessed throughout the course with written assignments and teaching practice, with no final examination.

Course Duration
Part Time: twice a week for 6 weeks.
Mode of Delivery
Blended learning includes face-to-face lectures, classroom discussion, hands-on training activities and peer teaching practice.
Mode of Assessment
Cert TEFL is assessed via a combination of teaching practice, teacher observation and written assignments. Each candidate is required to keep a portfolio of work that includes all materials relating to the teaching practice, teacher observation and written assignments.

Admission Criteria
To apply for the course, all trainees are to meet the following admission criteria:
- 5 GCE "O" Levels with a credit in English
- International students would need to posses IELTS of 5.5 or English Language at CEF level C2 or equivalent.
- If you do not fall within any of the above categories and think you are qualified for the course, please submit all your qualifications and a letter explaining why you should be considered. Your application will then be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Award
Successful completion, participants will be awarded with Certificate in TESOL by The Academy for English Language Teachers , which is registered with Council for Provide Education, Singapore.
